Walking trails near Evansville
1. Evansville Main St
Main St in Downtown Evansville is a great place for walking and exploring local food/drink options in the heart of Evansville. Some great dining options include COMFORT by the Cross-Eyed Cricket, BRU Burger Bar, and Peephole Bar & Grill. If you have kids, the Children's Museum of Evansville is also a great option.
2. Rivertown Trail, Newburgh
The city of Newburg is a few miles east of Evansville and is also situated along the Ohio river. Newburg has a charming downtown which will make for a great start point as you walk along Rivertown trail and French Island Trail to the Newburg Locks and Dam Overlook.
3. Ohio River Scenic Path
The Ohio River Scenic Path runs along the Ohio river in downtown Evansville. This is a great tourist path that also takes you past some great attractions such as Mickey's Kingdom Park, Evansville Museum and the LST Ship Memorial.
4. Burdette Trail
The Burdette trail is located west of Evansville. It takes you from the University of Southern Indiana to Burdette Park. This trail has some good nature views and makes for a good walk, run or bike ride.
5. North Main St to Garvin Park
Main St Evansville is a great downtown walking option in Evansville. There is a dedicated pedestrian path that runs along Main St going past some great local establishments and ending at Garvin Park which is also right next to the Deaconess Aquatic Center
