1. Wesselman Park
Wesselman Park is a 200 acre park located on the east side of Evansville. It is a popular destination that offers many amenities and great scenary. The park is also home to Wesselman Woods which happens to be the largest urban old-growth forest in the United States. There are a number of large size pavillions in the park and other amenities like a nature center, pedestrian trails, and plenty of tennis courts.
2. Burdette Park
Burdette Park is located on the west side of Evansville Indiana. The park is roughly 170 acres with great scenic views and park amenities. It is also connected to the Burdette Trail which is a beautiful path that runs a few miles to the University of Southern Indiana.
3. Mickey's Kingdom Park
Mickey's Kingdom Park is 21000 square foot disney themed playground park located along the Ohio river in downtown Evansville, Indiana. The location of the park in proxmity to other attractions makes the playground a great family place to visit. Nearby places include the Evansville Museum, the Pigeon Creek Greenway Passage trail, and other downtown attractions.
4. Garvin Park
Garvin Park is located on the near north end of downtown Evansville Indiana. The park is roughly 80 acres with great amenities for your family and loved ones. Garvin Park is connected to North Main St that contains a pedestrian path and some unique dining options. It is also conviniently located next to the Deaconess Aquatic Center and the Evansville Otters stadium.
5. Evansville State Hospital Park
Evansville State Hospital Park is a 88 acre park located beside the Evansville State Hospital. The park is a popular destination for locals and there are walking trails throughout the whole park. There are also other great park amenities such as a softball field, soccer fields, and the 18 hole Woodmere Disc Golf Course.
6. Howell Park
Howell Park is located on the west side of Evansville Indiana. The community park is also connected to the Howell Wetlands, a nature preserve with marshland, forest, and wildlife. The park includes plenty of sporting amenities such as basketball, softball, swimming, and a par 3 golf course with 9 holes.
7. Montoux Park
Montoux Park is a 30 acre park located on the north end of Evansville near the intersection of N St Joseph Ave and Mill Rd. The drive into the park is surrounded by beautiful farm land and the main area of the park has plenty of soccer fields. There is a big lake in the park which makes it a great place for fishing. The park is also a great place for nature walks and dog walking.
