1. Indiana Dunes State Park
Indiana Dunes State Park is a 2182-acre park in Chesterton, Indiana. It is a popular and unique park because of the park's proximity to Lake Michigan and the diverse landscape that includes sand dunes, beaches, and various plant life. The park offers plenty of great amenities like hiking, swimming, camping, and relaxing on the beach. 2. Centennial Park
Centennial Park is a popular park in Munster, Indiana. The scenic park spans over 200 acres and offers many great amenities for the community such as an outdoor amphitheater where various concerts are held, walking trails, a dog park, and a golf course that includes a driving range. The park is also connected to the Pennsy Greenway.
3. Wicker Memorial Park
Wicker Memorial Park is a popular park in Highland, Indiana. The park is a great outdoor space with pedestrian trails that go in and around the park. It is also connected to the Little Calumet River Trail and the Erie Lackawanna Trail. The park has plenty of amenities such as a large playground, a large splash pad, a golf course, and a golf range. It is a great place to visit with family and friends and it also hosts plenty of programs and concerts for the community all year round.
4. Whiting Lakefront Park
Whiting Lakefront Park is a popular 26-acre park along the shore of Lake Michigan in Whiting, Indiana. It is a beautiful park with great views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan. For a lovely beach experience, Whihala Beach is walking distance from the park via the Whihala Beach Bike Trail. The park also offers other amenities like volleyball courts, gazebos, and walking trails.
5. Soldiers Memorial Park
Soldiers Memorial Park is a popular park spanning over 556 acres in La Porte, Indiana, near Stone Lake and Pine Lake. The park has a scenic trail that goes on the edge of Stone Lake. There is a great beach to visit family and friends on Stone Lake near the park's main entrance. The park also features a ski beach for pontoon owners on Pine Lake as well as a few mountain bike trails with great views of the lakes.
6. Rogers Lakewood Park
Rogers Lakewood Park is a 122-acre park in Valparaiso, Indiana. The park is a great place to go for nature lovers and it has plenty of amenities like hiking, fishing, a 24 hole disc golf course, and paved trails. There are 2 great lakes that are accessible from the park: Loomis Lake and Spectacle Lake, and there is an abundance of mature trees and native wildflowers throughout the park.
7. Festival Park
Festival Park is a family friendly park in Hobart, Indiana. Lake George Dam is accessible from within the park and is also a great place to go fishing. There is a nice pedestrian trail that takes you around the park and through a covered bridge. The park is also walking distance to Main St in Hobart; where you will local eating options and shops that Hobart has to offer.
8. Lemon Lake County Park
Lemon Lake County Park is a 402-acre park in Crown Point, Indiana. The park has a large fishing lake, beautiful mature trees, and open fields that make it a great place to relax with family and friends. Dogwood Run is a great open space in the park for pet owners and there is also a great 24 hole disc golf course that is spread out throughout the park.
9. Fox Memorial Park
Fox Memorial Park is a popular park located in La Porte, Indiana, near Clear Lake. The park has a scenic trail that goes around most of Clear Lake. It is a great place to relax with family and friends, and contains other amenities like fishing, a skate park, and an outdoor amphitheater.
10. Portage Imagination Glen Park
Portage Imagination Glen Park is a 276-acre park in Portage, Indiana. It is a wonderful place to go walking, running, or biking because of the various trails throughout the park. The Outback Trail is a great mountain bike trail for riders of all levels, and the Iron Horse Heritage Trail is a popular pedestrian trail which is connected to the park.
11. Countryside Park
Countryside Park is a 33-acre park in Portage, Indiana. The park is filled with great features such as a great walking trail that takes you through the whole park, a 18 hole disc golf course, a sledding hill, and a great sized fishing pond in the middle of the park. The park is also connected to the Prairie Duneland Trail.
12. Fairgrounds Park
Fairgrounds Park is a park in Valparaiso, Indiana. There is a very nice pedestrian trail that loops around the park. Along that trail you will also see an outdoor fitness station. The park has a number of baseball fields and it is a beautiful outdoor space to visit or host an event.

Central Park is a community park in Griffith, Indiana that hosts community events and is filled with great amenities for friends and family such as baseball fields, volleyball courts, pavilions, and a playground. There are also great artifacts and decorations all around the park in honor of US veterans.

Peter G Redar Memorial Park is a 9.2-acre park in Schererville, Indiana. The park is connected to the Pennsy Greenway, so it is a great place to park, then go biking or walking on the Pennsy trail. The park also has other great amenities like a volleyball court, a baseball field, and a playground.
