Howard Park is located on the near east side of downtown South Bend. The roughly 42 acre park is situated along the St. Joseph River. It is a very popular destination for locals and tourists in South Bend. The large modern playground makes it a great place for kids.

There East Bank trail runs through the park. There are also great views of downtown South Bend from the park. Howard Park Public House is a fantastic restaurant in the park that also has an outdoor patio. The surrounding neighbourhood also has plenty more dining options

Central Park is located in Mishawaka along the St Joseph River near downtown Mishawaka. The roughly 17 acre park has a number of free concerts and festivals in the summer time. The Mishawaka Riverwalk trail also goes through the park and there are great views of the river from there. There are a good amount of amenities offered at the park and the modern playground makes it a great place to bring the kids to.

Robert C. Beutter Riverfront Park is located in Mishawaka along the St Joseph River near downtown Mishawaka. The park is a popular destination for locals and tourists because of its connection to the Mishawaka Riverwalk trail, riverfront views, and it's proximity to many great dining options near the river in Mishawaka.

Pinhook Park is located north of South Bend. The roughly 20 acre park is beautifully wedged in between the St Joseph River and Pinhook lake. The Riverside pedestrian trail also runs past the park. The park is wheelchair accessible and also features paved trails with great waterfront scenary. The pavillion in the park is available for rent to the public.

Merrifield Park is located in Mishawaka along the St Joseph River. The roughly 25 acre park is also next to the Japanese garden - Shiojiri Garden. The park has a great walking trail that circles the park and also goes along the St Joseph River. There are summer camps hosted there for kids and the park also has a large swimming pool to cool off in during the hot temperatures.

St. Patrick's County Park is located north of South Bend along the St. Joseph River. The 398 acre park is open all year round, offering park ammenities like trails, playgrounds, volleyball courts, etc. The park also has rustic architecture including a barn that can be rented to the public for events. The park also contains a variety of wildlife like deer, rabbits, and birds.

Potawatomi Park is located on the east side of South Bend. The roughly 150 acre park is located across the street from the Potawatomi Zoo. The close proximity of these two places makes the park a great place to bring kids to. The park has a few pavilions for rent than can hold a maximum of 50-200 people. It is also filled with beautiful mature trees and sculptures that add to the park's relaxing scenary.

Clay Township Park is located north of South Bend and south of St. Patrick's County Park. The roughly 45 acre park is open all year round and contains soccer fields, softball diamonds, a playgoround, disc golf, and paved trails. The park also contains unpaved hiking trails that go along the St Joseph River.

Twin Branch Park is located east of Mishawaka near Twin Branch Elementary School. The roughly 12 acre park is a great place for families with park amenities such as soccer fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, etc.

Battell Park is located along the St Joseph River, in the Battell Park Historic District, near downtown Mishawaka. The roughly 20 acre park is the oldest park in Mishawaka dating back to the 1860's. The park is a destination along the Mishawaka Riverwalk trail and hosts a lot of free concerts for the community during the summer time.

Kamm Island Park is situated on an island in the St. Joseph River, near downtown Mishawaka. The roughly 7.5 acre park is a destination along the Mishawaka Riverwalk trail and has a number of great spots for relaxing and picnicing. There are also a few bridges from the island that connect you to the town of Mishawaka.
